Grouper for dinner!!!

Captain Ross and mate AJ put us on fish and kept us on fish most of the day. We limited out on Yellowtail and caught multiple grouper, a few mangrove Snapper. A great experience with a knowledgable captain who knows where the fish are.

Best birthday ever!

Wonderful time with Capt. Ross, mate AJ! We split the half day deeper water and shallow! Highly recommend!

Fun Day

Spent the day fishing with Ross and AJ on the Early Bird. Caught a fish every cast at our first spot! Wanted to catch a sailfish and they hooked us up with one of those also. We will be back!

A Fantastic Day

Went out with Capt Ross and Mate AJ today. We did the full day offshore fishing. It was an amazing time. Ross and AJ worked hard until the last minutes to get us all the fish they could. We caught a lot of big ones, mackerel, mutton, yellowtail, grouper just to name a few. we’ll definitely be back! It was an awesome day! We highly recommend Early Bird!

Great Father-Sons Day on the Early Bird!

My two teen sons and I had a fantastic day with Captain Early and AJ on the Early Bird. It was clear to us that Ross and AJ were experts. What "wowed" me was their focus on doing everything possible to put US on the fish and ensure WE had a successful and enjoyable day. They nailed it, and we had an awesome, successful, educational, and memorable day. 9 "keepers" and a sailfish!! My 15yo landed monster king mackerel and tuna, and my 16yo successfully got a sailfish to the boat for tagging. We'll be back.

fishing charter Early Bird

Fantastic time on the early bird! Captain Ross Early and his first mate AJ were incredible. My husband caught a big black fin tuna, we were so impressed! Highly recommend this boat and team!

Full day charter

Two couples enjoyed an 8-hour trip today with captain Ross and first mate AJ. We caught and kept amberjack, mahi-mahi, yellow bar jack, cero mackerel and king mackerel. We also caught some Bonita and hound fish that we didn’t keep. Both AJ and Ross are personable and made our day enjoyable.

Exceptional first charter ocean trip

This was my first ever ocean fishing. There were 4 of us and the other 3 adults were much more enthused and experienced fisherman. But I am hooked. THIS has been the best part of our trip. Captain Ross and first mate A. J. were fantastic. Their expertise and familiarity to the area set us up for success and made for an incredible first time experience for me. They hustled like crazy and yet were so laid back and made every aspect of the trip purely enjoyable. There were many boats out on the water but because of their experience and knowledge, we were one of 3 that caught bait fish. We then moved throughout the day to 3 or 4 different spots; each time catching more and having more excitement. We caught too many to name but suffice it to say that we will be eating fish for months and when we run out we will be coming back. They were more than excellent and I highly recommend them.

Fantastic Fishing

My wife and I had a wonderful half-day charter on the Early Bird while we were on our honeymoon. Captain Ross Early and his mate, AJ, were very friendly and knowledgable. I am a pretty novice fisherman, and my wife had never been offshore before. They were patient with us and provided helpful guidance to ensure that we caught some fish. We caught several large king mackerel. My wife caught a mahi which we were able to have for dinner later that evening at restaurant recommended by Captain Ross. The boat very clean and has an air-conditioned cabin which is great on a hot day. We had fantastic time. I would recommend the Early Bird for couples, families, or group fishing trips. We can't wait to head back down to the Keys and fish with them again in the future!

What A Great Day!

WHAT A WEEKEND!!! I planned a quick trip to Islamorda for my husband's birthday celebration. My main goal....to take him out for a full day of deep sea fishing. I did some research on fishing charters out of Islamorada and chose the Early Bird.

We actually got the chance to meet Ross, our Captain, the day before our charter as he was cleaning fish from that day's charter at the Marina.

The next morning, we met Ross and AJ, bright and early for our day out at sea. What a day! Mother Nature provided fantastic weather, and Captain Ross got us on the fish. AJ worked his butt off all day and helped us land fish, and learn more about fish and fishing off the keys. We also got to joke around and have a lot of laughs during the day.

We almost got our limit in Yellowtail Snapper, a Snowy Grouper, and a Blueline Tilefish. The catch of the day was a Bull Dolphin that will be made into a mount for prosperity, and a great reminder of a fantastic trip. What a great way to celebrate my husband's birthday and create very special memories of a lifetime.
